...to the Newton Village development website.
This website has been set up to provide local community members with information regarding the emerging proposals for the redevelopment of the former RAF Newton site.
Following the closure and sale of RAF Newton in 2004 where it had operated as a training establishment, including being home to the Polish Training School, the site has faced several features:
- 3000 dwellings
- Asylum Centre
- Eco Town
Each of these has not been successful and the site is currently used for employment and has permission for 165 dwellings as part of the site.
The site’s owner, Newton Nottingham llp has appointed a design team, led by Hunter Page Planning to prepare proposals for the redevelopment of the site.
Newton Nottingham llp wishes to work with the local community to prepare an acceptable scheme which will mark an end point to development at Newton.
